How should I specify bitumen grade and packaging together?
State the project grade or governing specification separately from the packaging choice. A drum or jumbo bag describes the supply format, not the bitumen grade. Compare the grade analysis with project acceptance limits and confirm that the receiving site can handle the selected packaging.
What should be included in a bitumen export enquiry?
Include the grade, quantity, destination port or delivery point, preferred drums, jumbo bags or bulk supply, and loading period. Request batch analysis and the relevant handling documentation. Confirm net weights and loading arrangements in the offer rather than assuming one standard for every shipment.
